High-temperature synthetic heat transfer oil, also known as heat transfer oil, is a type of heat transfer medium. During high-temperature operation, high-temperature synthetic heat transfer oil undergoes a coking process, including induction, adsorption, hardening, and shedding. These processes result in the formation of a layer of high-temperature synthetic heat transfer oil coke in the heat oil furnace tubes, which affects the heat transfer efficiency of the heat oil furnace. At the same time, it also isolates the contact between the high-temperature synthetic heat transfer oil and the metal tube walls, so these acids do not corrode the equipment. It can be seen that the corrosiveness of the acid value to metal is not significant.
High-temperature synthetic heat transfer oil is used in closed-system heat oil furnaces, so the three elements of combustion are not present (combustion = fuel temperature oxygen), and therefore, high-temperature synthetic heat transfer oil will not ignite. If there is a leak in the system, it will first emit smoke, and only ignite when it comes into contact with an open flame. If handled promptly, it will not ignite. It can be seen that the flash point of high-temperature synthetic heat transfer oil is not a very important factor for the discard index of high-temperature synthetic heat transfer oil. As long as it is controlled, high-temperature synthetic heat transfer oil will not ignite and will not affect the safety of its heat oil furnace.
High-temperature synthetic heat transfer oil may ignite when exposed to an open flame. Compared to steam systems, this is a problem with high-temperature synthetic heat transfer oil systems. However, under non-leakage conditions, due to the operation of high-temperature synthetic heat transfer oil systems under low pressure, their operational safety is higher than that of water and steam systems.
